This Privacy Policy describes how New Jersey Resources Corporation and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies (collectively, “NJR,” “we,” and “us”) collect, use, and disclose information about you. This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect from you as a consumer when you sign up for and receive our energy services, inquire about or purchase a product or service from us, access or use our websites, mobile applications, and other online products and services, or when you otherwise interact with us where we provide this Privacy Policy, such as through our customer support channels (collectively, “Services”). In some circumstances, we may provide different or additional notices of our privacy practices to the extent they apply to you because of the product or services you obtain from us, the capacity in which you engage with us, or different laws that may apply. To the extent you are a job applicant or business partner who resides in California, you are considered a consumer, and this Privacy Policy applies to you. In addition, the State Notice and Privacy Rights section applies to consumers who are New Jersey or California residents.

For example, we collect information directly from you when you start energy services, create an account, fill out a form, request services or customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. We also collect certain information from you or your device automatically when you interact with our Services such as meter usage information, and website activity and usage information. We use this information to communicate with you, provide you Services, and for other business purposes as described below. For California residents, we describe below the information we collect from you when you provide it to us if you apply for a job or engage with us as a business partner and how we use that information to communicate with you about and process your application or in the context of our business relationship with you.

We engage others to provide analytics services across the web and in mobile apps, serve advertisements, and perform related services across the web and in mobile applications. To do this, NJR and these partners may use cookies, pixels, software development kits (SDK s), device identifiers, and other technologies to collect information about your use of our Services and other websites and mobile apps, including your IP address, web browser and mobile network information, pages viewed, time spent on pages or in mobile apps, links clicked, order information, items added to cart, and conversion information.
