NEW JERSEY RESOURCES EMPLOYEES MAKE A DIFFERENCE AT ALLAIRE COMMUNITY FARM

06/23/2026 - For Immediate Release

Wall, NJ, – As a part of its commitment to building strong communities, New Jersey Resources (NYSE: NJR) hosted its annual NJR You Days at Allaire Community Farm, where over 200 employees came together over the course of two consecutive Fridays in June to help build, paint, landscape and refresh the facilities at the farm.

“New Jersey Resources shares a deep connection with the communities we serve – it is a part of the culture of our company,” said Steve Westhoven, president and CEO of New Jersey Resources. “NJR You Days is an important part of that commitment. It’s an opportunity for us to give back and make a meaningful difference where it is needed most. The work our employees accomplished this year at Allaire Community Farm will benefit the people they serve and the communities we share for years to come.”

As part of NJR You Days, employees dedicated approximately 1,000 hours of service and helped transform facilities at the farm. Teams constructed five horse shelters, built feed and storage sheds, installed new shelving, painted tractor wagons, animal enclosures and over 500 feet of fence, repaired and painted a decorative windmill, serviced golf carts and landscaped throughout the farm, including installing roughly 7,000’ of weed fabric, spreading over 90 yards of mulch, weeding, edging and planting and much more.

The extensive work accomplished by NJR’s employees helped the farm complete a long-term wish list of projects that they might not otherwise have been able to do. More importantly, it enables the farm to focus on helping the most vulnerable in the community, including at-risk youth, young adults with special needs, veterans with PTSD and families battling cancer.

“When we started the farm, we always knew community was going to be a big part of our mission – that’s why we named it Allaire Community Farm – and it has turned out to be so much more than we could have ever imagined,” said Co-founder JoAnn Burney. “The sweat equity and support provided by the team at New Jersey Resources has been nothing short of incredible and has helped invigorate the farm and the work we do. This is what community is all about.”

NJR You Days was created by NJR to bring employees together with area nonprofit and community-based groups to create positive change and have a lasting impact in its service territory. Since 2009, employees have dedicated approximately 16,000 hours of service through this annual program.
