NEW JERSEY NATURAL GAS INVITES CUSTOMERS TO KICK OFF SUMMER AT ITS 23rd ANNUAL OCEAN FUN DAYS

WALL, N.J. – New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) invites community members to explore nature and more at the Jersey Shore at its 23rd annual Ocean Fun Days. The two-day event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Island Beach State Park in Seaside Park and Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium in Sandy Hook. Admission and parking are free.

Attendees’ can immerse themselves in the beauty of New Jersey’s amazing coastline, sparking curiosity about energy conservation and protecting the natural environment so many of us call home.

The event is free and has hands-on activities for all ages to enjoy, including:

• Games and crafts

• Interactive exhibitors

• Seining

• Nature walks

• Famous Fiddler Crab Races

• And more!

“As the summer season gets ready to kick off, Ocean Fun Days is the perfect opportunity for families to come together to embrace our beautiful coastal environment,” said Carolyn Cannon, director of Community Relations at New Jersey Natural Gas. “With fun-filled and interactive activities, learning feels like play as young and old alike connect with nature, explore vital ecosystems and pick up sustainable practices they can adopt into their daily lives.”

NJNG is pleased to host this annual event alongside state and local agencies and organizations, including New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium, Gateway National Park/National Park Service, New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry/Island Beach State Park, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Ocean Fun Days aligns with NJNG’s commitment to sustainability and the work of its Coastal Climate Initiative (CCI). Launched in 2021, CCI is an umbrella program for the company’s commitment to environmental and natural resource stewardship efforts.
