NEW JERSEY NATURAL GAS RECOGNIZED NATIONWIDE AS ONE OF THE EASIEST UTILITIES TO DO BUSINESS WITH FOR THE SIXTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

05/09/2024 - For Immediate Release

Wall, N.J. — For the sixth consecutive year, New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), the principal subsidiary of New Jersey Resources (NYSE: NJR), was named one of the easiest utilities to do business with in the country, according to the Cogent Syndicated 2024 Utility Trusted Brand & Customer Engagement™: Residential study by Escalent. NJNG is one of the top 30 largest natural gas and electric utility companies in the U.S. recognized for ease of resolution across multiple service channels for customers — particularly when it comes to the ability for customers to find information and use relevant programs to address issues.

“Engaging successfully with our customers goes beyond just communicating effectively; it includes delivering an easy, personalized and meaningful experience for them,” said Marissa Travaline, vice president of Customer Service, Marketing and Energy Efficiency at New Jersey Natural Gas. “This recognition reflects the commitment of every member of our team who takes the time to connect and engage with our customers and understand their needs.”

Escalent conducted surveys among 62,898 residential electric, natural gas and combination utility customers of the 141 largest utility companies in the U.S. The study is a composite based on customer ratings and measures the Customer Effort Score — or the amount of effort customers put in to interact with a business.

“These top utilities anticipate customers’ needs and offer them proactive and helpful communications across multiple channels for ease of resolution of their issues,” said K.C. Boyce, vice president at Escalent.
