WALL, N.J. – New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), the principal subsidiary of New Jersey Resources (NYSE: NJR), was named one of the most trusted utilities in the nation, according to the 2023 Cogent Syndicated Utility Trusted Brand & Customer Engagement™: Residential report from Escalent. The company has been recognized nine out of the past 10 years for brand trust among customers.

With a score of 728, well above the industry average of 687, NJNG is one of 42 natural gas and electric utilities to receive this honor and recognized for proactively addressing issues that are important to customers, particularly managing energy usage and lowering energy bills.

Escalent conducted surveys among 72,581 residential natural gas, electric and combination utility customers of the 141 largest U.S. utility companies across six factors ― customer focus, company reputation, community support, communications effectiveness, reliable quality and environmental dedication.
