New Jersey Natural Gas

06/25/2021 - For Immediate Release

WALL, N.J. – For the eighth consecutive year, New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), the principal subsidiary of New Jersey Resources (NYSE: NJR), was named one of the most trusted utilities in the nation, according to the 2021 Cogent Syndicated Utility Trusted Brand & Customer Engagement™: Residential report from Escalent.

Escalent conducted surveys among 76,656 residential electric, natural gas, and combination utility customers of the 140 largest U.S. utility companies across six factors ― customer focus, company reputation, community support, communications effectiveness, reliable quality, and environmental dedication.

NJNG scored a 738 out of 1,000 on the study’s Brand Trust Index, and ranked among the highest in the East in communications effectiveness and environmental dedication. These results underscore NJNG’s commitment to customers and strong track record of sustainability leadership, including the company’s recent Coastal Climate Initiative announcement — a program designed to engage customers and advance climate change solutions along the Jersey Shore.

NJNG has consistently maintained a high level of brand trust among its customers, driven by its focus on listening and improving the overall customer experience. Of the 140 large utilities measured in the study, NJNG is one of only 38 large utilities nationwide to earn the distinction.
