New Jersey Natural Gas

11/13/2018 - For Immediate Release

Wall, N.J. – Building on its prior years’ sweepstakes success in sharing energy-saving tips and giving to those in need, New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) today announced its latest social media sweepstakes, You Save, We Donate. This year’s sweepstakes gives customers the chance to win a portion of $500 in gift card prizes, while learning how to save energy and money during the fall and holiday seasons. In addition, two community food banks will benefit.

Beginning today, NJNG will post energy-saving tips and a weekly trivia question to its Facebook page. One lucky person each week who correctly answers a trivia question will win a $50 gift card.  With a winner each week, $500 in gift card prizes will be up for grabs over the 10-week sweepstakes period.

In addition to selecting a weekly gift card winner, NJNG will give back every time someone participates. Customers’ efforts to learn about saving energy will generate donations for Fulfill (formerly the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties) and Interfaith Food Pantry and Resource Center in Morris County, up to a combined total donation of $10,000.  For every answer submitted (whether correct or incorrect), NJNG will donate $5 to local foodbanks.

“As energy usage ramps up for the winter, NJNG is giving our customers a fun, easy way to get in the spirit of the season, win prizes and learn easy steps to conserve energy and lower their energy bills,” said Anne-Marie Peracchio, director of conservation and clean energy at New Jersey Natural Gas. “At the same time, just by participating in our weekly energy-saving trivia challenge, customers can join us in giving back to our local food banks who are helping in the lives of those who need it most.”

Last year’s promotion raised over $6,500, which was donated to these two worthy community organizations, helping them provide meals and necessities to those in need.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE ONE’S CHANCES OF WINNING.  Must be a legal resident of New Jersey, at least 18 years or older.  Sweepstakes begins on 11/13/18 and ends 1/15/19. For official rules, click on the Notes section of VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
