Picture This, Caption That! Contest
Let’s Celebrate Earth Day with our Picture This, Caption That! Contest.
New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) is proud to announce the 2021 Conserve to Preserve® (CTP) Kids and Conservation Picture This, Caption That! Contest winners. In celebration of Earth Day, NJNG asked students and their teachers to test their photography skills by showing conservation or energy-saving tips through an original photo and creatively captioning it! All students, grades sixth to eighth, and schools within NJNG’s service territory were encouraged to enter.
Every submission clearly displayed a dedication to conservation. These future energy conservation leaders uphold our belief in responsible energy use and the value of sharing effective and accurate energy-saving tips. Even amid a pandemic, and with many students and teachers still working remotely, these student/teacher teams have submitted original and imaginative projects.
All participants have received a certificate of recognition, which has been provided to their teachers. The contest was judged based on the following criteria: (a) content, (b) accuracy, (c) creativity, and (d) overall presentation.
And the winners for the Picture This, Caption That 2021 Contest are (in no particular order):
- Ryder S. and Ms. Pape, from Red Bank Middle School.
- Erin N. and Ms. Andreazza, from Valleyview Middle School.
- Taylor C. and Ms. Porter, from Woodrow Wilson School.
