Our Progress

The NJR Diversity and Inclusion Council reflects the diverse makeup of our workforce and the communities we serve. Composed of employee volunteers from across the organization, the Council advances our efforts to challenge each other and value individual contributions through employee and community-based education and awareness programs that effect positive change.

Such change is gauged through NJR’s Diversity Scorecard, which provides a cross-functional view of our diversity and inclusion efforts. With our Commitment to Stakeholders in mind, it establishes clear targets and measures our success in advancing diversity and inclusion and exceeding the expectations of our stakeholders.

“We believe diversity, inclusion and employee engagement are integral to our vision, strategy, business success and Commitment to Stakeholders. Additionally, respect for co-workers and concern for others is equally important. Fostering an environment that values diversity and ethics helps create an inclusive organization where we embrace, leverage and respect the differences of our employees, customers and the communities where we live, work and serve.”  — Diversity and Inclusion Council
