Wall, NJ, March 16, 2020 – New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) today announced that it will temporarily close its walk-in payment services for customers in Asbury Park, Wall, Lakewood and Rockaway, effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, and waive late payment fees for at least the next 30 days (through April 15, 2020) for customers as part of the precautionary health and safety measures being taken in response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Customers who pay their bills using in-person payment options are encouraged to use other payment options, including:

  • Online bill payment at njng.com
  • Over the phone by calling 800-221-0051

While customers are strongly encouraged to use the above payment methods, customers may independently verify if participating Western Union® locations that offer Quick Collect® are still available to accept cash payments.

“The health and safety of our customers and employees are the most important considerations for our company,” said Steve Westhoven, President and CEO of New Jersey Resources, NJNG’s parent company. “Given the evolving public health response, we will continue to closely monitor all developments and take appropriate steps to protect public health.”
