NEW JERSEY NATURAL GAS HOSTS NEW SOCIAL MEDIA CONTEST

11/17/2017 - For Immediate Release

Wall, N.J. – New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) is seeking entries for its latest social media contest, “Fall into Savings,” which gives customers the chance to win great prizes while learning how to save energy and money during the fall and holiday season. In addition, two community food banks will benefit from this unique contest.

To enter, take a picture of how you save energy and money throughout the fall and holiday seasons and post the photos and energy-saving tips to Facebook.com/NewJerseyNaturalGas, or tweet it to @NJNaturalGas. Photos must be related to the following topics: cooking, decorating, gift giving, seasonal travel or holiday gatherings. All entries must be submitted by December 1, 2017. NJNG will select five winners, who will each receive an ecobee4 smart thermostat, complete with an ecobee app and Amazon Alexa voice service. One grand prize winner will also receive $250.

And, just in time for the holidays, you can help us give back to the community with one click. For each “like” received on all photo entries, NJNG will donate $2 to Fulfill (formerly the Monmouth Ocean Foodbank) and the Interfaith Food Pantry. For each “like” received on all five winning photos, NJNG will donate $5. The combined maximum of the donation to the foodbanks will be $10,000.

“This is a fun, easy way for our customers to get in the spirit of the season and share how they lower their energy bills,” said Anne-Marie Peracchio, director of conservation and clean energy at New Jersey Natural Gas. “Plus, for every “like,” they are helping to make a meaningful difference in our communities and the lives of those who need it most.”

Last year’s promotion raised over $6,000, which was donated to these two worthy community partners, helping them provide meals and necessities to those in need.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE ONE’S CHANCES OF WINNING. Must be a legal resident of New Jersey, at least 13 years or older. Contest begins on 10/11/17 and ends 12/1/17. For official rules, click on the Notes section of Facebook.com/NewJerseyNaturalGas. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
