NEW JERSEY RESOURCES APPOINTS THOMAS MASSARO PRESIDENT & GENERAL MANAGER OF NJR HOME SERVICES
11/19/2004 - For Immediate ReleaseWALL, N.J. – New Jersey Resources (NYSE: NJR) today announced the appointment of Thomas Massaro as president and general manager of NJR Home Services (NJRHS), effective immediately. In his new position, Mr. Massaro will have overall executive responsibility for NJRHS, NJR’s unregulated subsidiary that provides home appliance service, sales and installations.
“Tom played a key role in transferring our appliance service operation to an unregulated affiliate four years ago and has helped this business on a path of growth and progress,” said Laurence M. Downes, chairman and CEO of NJR. “His leadership over the past year significantly contributed to our team achieving record financial results, a 96.8 percent customer satisfaction rating and considerable productivity improvements.”
In 1989, Mr. Massaro joined New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) as a management engineer and has held several positions in marketing, operations and customer service. He has been director of operations at NJRHS since the business was transferred from NJNG in 2000 and has been a member of Quality New Jersey since 1996.
Mr. Massaro attended Drexel University, receiving a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering in June 1989. He is a resident of Brick, N.J., where he resides with his wife, Mary, and their son, Max.
