NEW JERSEY RESOURCES APPOINTS KATHLEEN T. ELLIS NEW SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
11/17/2004 - For Immediate ReleaseWALL, N.J. – New Jersey Resources (NYSE: NJR) today announced the appointment of Kathleen T. Ellis as senior vice president of corporate affairs, effective January 2005. Her responsibilities will include communications, government relations, regulatory and environmental affairs. Since 2002, Ms. Ellis has served as director of communications for Governor James E. McGreevey.

Prior to working for Gov. McGreevey, Ms. Ellis was director of communications for PSE&G, one of the largest combined electric and gas companies in the United States. In 1997, she was spokesperson for Gov. McGreevey’s first gubernatorial campaign. She served on the Senate Democratic Office staff from 1993 to 1998 and was director of communications for the 1996 Democratic Coordinated Campaign.
Ms. Ellis attended the State University of New York at Binghamton, where she was Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1987. She resides in Belmar, N.J.
